Main activities: Coordinating and evaluating Platform development and Maintenance in the following areas: Business Support Services (BSS) and Operation Support Services (OSS).

Main Focus on Billing, LRMS, Fraud Management System management (BSS Area), ERP Fixed Asset, Eneterprise Content Management, Performance and Reporting system management (OSS Area).

I met H3G working in the same division as an Accenture Process Consultant. My previous focus areas: Business Continuity, Information protection, Data Manag., Storage Architecture.

The Corti Foundation supports St. Mary’s Lacor Hospital in Gulu, Northern Uganda. It is a 476 bed general hospital, with three peripheral Health Centres of 24 beds each. It provides a variety of acute clinical and primary care services, plus teaching and training of medical, laboratory and nursing staff. They treat over 300,000 patients and perform over 5000 surgical procedures annually with a staff of approximately 600.

In the knowledge-based economy, timely and accurate information is an essential corporate asset that needs to be managed. The ability to gather, monitor, analyze and respond to information about St. Mary’s Lacor Hospital’s core programs and the external environment is a fundamental requirement for both clinicians and administrators. Immediate knowledge of developments is essential to understanding changing needs and priorities and to developing appropriate responses to those needs.

St. Mary’s Lacor Hospital completed its first formal five year strategic plan to July 2012. It was recognized that to manage a hospital of the size and complexity of Lacor, requires a clearly formulated strategy that sets out a shared vision and a set of objectives that can guide management and staff. It also reflects an awareness of the rapid pace of change taking place in the environment within which Lacor operates and a call to enhance the hospital’s knowledge, Information Management (IM) and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) capacities.

the Corti Foundation has provided Katia Di Francescantonio, an electrical engineer and a volunteer to assist Lacor management in developing an IM and ICT strategy that aligns to the strategic service and capacity building objectives of the hospital’s business strategy and plan.
