Analysis, projecting and managing of consolidation of international departments infrastructure into the italian's one.

Analyzing, projecting and installation of a new LAN infrastructure, based on server’s virtualization with VMWARE Server and/or ESX and Microsoft Virtual Server 2005. Implementing two levels of DMZ with Watchguard and Sonicwall technology and a backup HDSL line for the Internet connectivity. Restyling internal Active Directory infrastructure and implementing of SAN EMC2 Clarion S-ATA technology. Managing of all internal LAN infrastructure. Managing of 30 servers, 2 firewall, 2 VPN “entry” (ISA Server and WatchGuard), 2 cisco routers, 1 SAN, 1 Backup Server (Scalar24 Library and BackupExec 11), 20 notebooks and 120 clients with different operating systems, applications and profiles. I also analyze all new technology to understand what, where and when better improve all the network.
I also introduced a CRM software to track customer’s requests, that improved time problem’s escalation.

Analyzing and Projecting simple or complex informatics’ infrastructures , from a LAN with a single file server to the Active Directory domain consolidation on various forest, implementing messaging services (email, chat), datawarehouse and groupware with cost-benefits analysis included. Structural and security analysis done with spoofing, sniffing and port scanning techniques, and implementation of firewalling systems, DMZ zones and LAN security from operating systems to data-analysis.
VPN Implementations by using standard IPSEC protocol and/or Telecom DataWAN Frame Relay. System Integrator Microsoft-Linux-Cisco. NT to 2000/2003 Active Directory Domain migration.

Troubleshooting on various operating systems like unix (Solaris, HP-UX), Microsoft (Windows 2000 Server) and on installed applications (bea-weblogic, apache, tomcat, oracle, divine). Structural script implementation (bash, shell, korn, perl, C), of automation and system monitoring.

Developing, testing and integration of an appliant server based on linux, created to serve a little LAN various services for the LAN itself, like internet connectivity and security with firewalling services, file sharing, mailing and backup services, web and database services, fax and analysis of network and browsing statistics. Chief on system integration, developing and implementation, I worked also to implement this appliant server on existent Microsoft environment based on NT and/or Windows 2000 domain (Active Directory). Also I implemented and managed various network environment based on Microsoft operating systems with relative services.

I "co-managed" about 700 servers/workstations UNIX and Windows NT/2000 within a team of 20 peoples. Installing, configuring and maintaining all the servers about their operating systems, and also I maintained up many internal applications such as Cytrix Metaframe. Also I implemented many remote installation procedures for new and old recycled servers. I managed internal projects to study, develop, test, troubleshoot and “production” many new softwares necessary to AGIP for the oil wells.

I managed many internet web services and sites like www.lastampa.it, www.ferrari.it, www.alfaromeo.it, www.ciaoweb.it, www.fiat.it, www.lancia.it, www.iovorrei.it and many other of the FIAT group, with mail services, chat and discussion forum. Installation and configuration of new servers (windows NT/2000). Testing and upgrade to production environment of new web pages of the developer team.; Manage of replication services and scheduling on servers. Manage and troubleshooting of problems owned by users. Manage clusters Windows NT/2000; Manage Windows Load Balancing System Windows NT and Network Load Balancing Windows 2000; Manage Microsoft IIS 4 e 5; Manage Microsoft Exchange Chat Server; Manage NetIQ; Installation security fix; Creation new control scripts and procedure automation; Team managing of guys of the Command Centre for server monitoring and first level help desk.

Migration of COLT italian's intranet from IIS 4.0 to IIS 5.0 with server extensions for Frontpage 2000. Configuration of users environment to point to the new service.

Test Manager on new .asp pages created by developer consultants for the web site of the bank and supervisor to their update on production servers; developer of rule bases created on Tibco-Mercury software called “Hawk” and teaching their functionality to people at monitoring room; developer of system scripts to benchmark servers on their high availability; system manager on Windows NT servers, from their installation to the relating troubleshooting due to the little compatibility between installed new softwares. Certified their installation with Microsoft Certification. Developed script to change all systems/datawarehouse password with high security.
