Ecology, water and sanitation for sustainable development
Water and water-related issues and natural resources, their uses and their conservation, have always been part of my work and my interests. I graduated in Environmental Sciences in Venice, where I worked on coastal wetlands. I have then attended a post-graduate master in land use and water management in developing countries in Milan, and worked in international cooperation dealing with feasibility assessments, socio-economic surveys, use of participatory and demand driven approaches, field work, data analysis, use of GIS tools, writing of project proposal.
The countries I have been working in are Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Lebanon, Mozambique and Italy, as project manager, consultant, country representative.
In the last years part of my job is involved in the use of new technologies for social innovation and sustainable development.

2007 - 2008technical and scientific support for participatory approaches in environmental assessment procedures; management of 3P project – Paesaggio Partecipato nel Parco (Participate landscape in Park) for Regional Park of Adamello*. Technical reporting, team coordination, project activities planning, participatory approach planning, multidisciplinary technical working group coordination. Production of thematic cartography.
*The project has won an award from Lombardia Region (regional administration) as positive experience in landscape management, development and promotion.
2007 - 2007baseline study, collection and analysis of data within the project “Drought
Response Project through the Improvement of Water Supply and Community
Management in Panda and Funhalouro Districts (Inhambane Province) –
Mozambique“, ECHO funded. Collaboration in the final evaluation of the project, setting and elaboration of data collection and analysis methodology to describe the current water supply situation and identify relevant indicators. Design of a monitoring system to measure the project’s impacts. Use of participative techniques, field chemical and bacteriological analysis, field activities coordination, analysis and reporting with GIS tools. Inhambane, Mozambique
