Currently employed at United States Army

Previous: Adolescent Education

Marc Zavarella has served his country as part of the United States Army since 2010. As a paratrooper, he has been stationed in Italy and remote locations in Afghanistan. During his first six months overseas, he was assigned to a combat outpost that only received supplies through airdrops. Marc Zavarella has performed as a machine gunner, a rifleman, and as part of an intelligence group. In recognition of his hard work, he received an award for serving with distinction throughout his deployment. Inspired by his older brother’s work as a neurosurgeon, Zavarella plans to enroll in medical school and become a doctor after completing his tour of service. Additionally, he wants to travel the world. He has visited numerous European countries and considers Florence, Stonehenge, and Normandy among his favorite places on Earth. Zavarella also wishes to see the pyramids and other areas in the Ancient Hub and the Mediterranean. Another of his goals is to scuba dive the Red Sea. Marc Zavarella earned his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York, Oswego. While at school, he volunteered at Oswego Hospital, as well as the Newman Hall Christian Center.
